Supervisor/Rail Terminal Operations
About the role
The Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations oversees employees unloading new automobiles off of railcars at the Lordstown, OH rail terminal. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and coordinates automotive activities to maintain service levels.
- Maintains productivity goals and service levels based on company standards.
- Prioritizes safety, productivity, and efficiency; interacts with customers for unloading automobiles.
- Designates equipment availability to meet customer requirements and ensures operation security.
- Affirms compliance with company safety policies.
- Coordinates inventory and auto placement to ensure accuracy and securement.
- Determines manpower levels, schedules, and assigns duties.
- Maintains consistent contact with Assistant Terminal Managers and Terminal Manager for productivity and cost control recommendations.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Pass background check
- Pass drug test
- Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry
- Ability to assist in conflict resolution and mediation
- Proven managerial skills (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Pay Rate will be discussed during the interview process and is commensurate with experience.
