Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations
Job Summary
The Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations oversees the unloading of new automobiles from railcars at the CSX Nashville, TN rail terminal. This position requires no prior experience but provides comprehensive training.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Schedules and coordinates automotive activities at the terminal.
- Maintains performance levels and service standards based on company goals.
- Prioritizes safety, productivity, and efficiency; interacts with customers for unloading.
- Designates equipment availability and ensures operational security.
- Affords assistance in safety policies and conflict resolution.
- Determines manpower levels, schedules, and assigns duties.
- Maintains consistent contact with Assistant Terminal Managers and Terminal Managers for productivity and cost control recommendations.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License.
- Passable Background Check.
- Passable Drug Test.
- Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry from vocational education, apprenticeship, or similar work experience.
- Ability to assist in conflict resolution and mediation.
- Proven managerial skills (though not required).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the Role
PRS Auto is an independent contractor of the railroad and does not operate under the railroad's affiliation. This position is open to individuals living within a 45-minute commute of the business location and is suitable for those interested in management roles in warehouses, general management, or those with prior auto industry experience.
