Responsibilities
The supervisor is responsible to develop, maintain, and improve service to its customers 24 hours a day. The supervisor must recruit, select, mentor, coach, develop, discipline, and maintain a staff that will provide this service. This should be done through ongoing self-improvement, the promotion of continuous improvement, and by being a change agent.
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field or attain within three years of hire.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited radiography, ultrasound, or nuclear medicine program.
- Five Years Of Clinical Radiology Experience Required.
- Incumbents hired into the role prior to February 15, 2018, are required to meet the previous requirements of associate's degree and five years' work experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to multitask and manage a variety of daily problems that arise including, but not limited to, patient-related issues, equipment, technical competency, workflow, and supervisory duties.
- Thorough understanding of Mayo and Radiology policies and procedures and be able to communicate these expectations to employees.
- Ability to gain cooperation through leading by example, motivating individuals, and influencing others.
- Supervisor should be sensitive, assertive, and possess a management style that promotes teamwork and harmonious working relationships.
- Licence Or Certifications Registry in clinical radiology field is required. Registry in specific modality that supervisory position supports is strongly preferred.
