About the role
The Radiation Therapist Supervisor position is available within the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of the nation's leading health care organizations with over 40 locations in Houston. The clinic is nationally recognized for its coordinated and accountable care model, providing care from more than 900 medical providers across 65 medical specialties.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high-performing team of therapists that meets organizational and department goals.
- Affirm that safe and proper operation and maintenance of the treatment equipment, techniques, and procedures are performed according to department policies.
- Continually oversee staff performance and mentor the radiation therapist team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
- Maintain and complete continuing education in applicable areas to ensure competency is maintained.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed by the Department of Health as a Medical Radiological Technologist.
- CPR certified.
- 5+ years performing as a Radiation Therapist.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of radiation therapy practices and radiation safety.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task as a clinical leader.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and goal-oriented.
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook email.
- Flexibility of work schedule required.
- Presentation skill set.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead Radiation Therapist.
- 2+ years of experience operating a True Beam Linear Accelerator, CT Simulator and VisionRT or OSMS.
- 2+ years of experience working with Aria.

The salary range for this role is $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
