About the Role
Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus business is at the core of Military and Commercial Engine applications production with the manufacture of Forgings for Disks and Airfoils, Machining and Finishing of Aircraft Hardware. The Supervisor, Quality Inspection will ensure Quality Compliance within Inspection Operations and meet Customer Expectations through On-time Delivery while driving efficiency into the Quality Inspection Processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the team by driving a safety-first culture.
- Enable the Inspection Team by providing training and development.
- Lead a team empowered to make decisions that meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
- Identify opportunities for documentation of quality requirements to establish and implement improvements.
- Provide transparency in quality operations performance and plans to address gaps in meeting daily business objectives.
- Collaborate with quality engineering and manufacturing engineering teams to address quality concerns and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Lead the working team to develop continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and meet customer objectives.
- Be available for shift overlap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related environment OR
- Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related environment OR
- In absence of a degree, High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, or related environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in an environment with constantly shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP and Solumina.
- Leadership experience with specialized knowledge, or technical/operational practices, and/or shop environment experience.
- Understanding of Lean Six-Sigma/CORE concepts.
- Experience with Environmental Health & Safety principles.
Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
