Quality Inspector, 2nd Shift ( Onsite)

This is an amazing opportunity to work on our Operations Team as a quality inspector in the Repair Operations division. This is a 2nd shift position: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Work applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, Engine Manuals, and other pertinent instruction and/or Approved Technical Data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools, gages, and other equipment.
• Accept material or refer for rework or quality review based on findings.
• Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments where work instructions are well defined to check dimensions and record results.
• Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Follow proper procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions, ensuring Work Instructions are being followed.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment used in performing the work as necessary.
• Support and promote continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
• Maintain Inspection stamp.
• Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Flexibility around shifts for training and to maintain workflow, including overtime.
• May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description, in support of department objectives and to develop individuals’ skills.
• Review Customer parts as received and determine the start of their repair path (Receiving Inspection).
• Work with Legacy, Military, and GTF parts.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Inspection experience (Non-Aerospace acceptable).
• Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills.
• Basic Shop Math.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $17.13 - $30.10. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Schedule

2nd shift: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday.

This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
