Supervisor Quality Control

Location: Rensselaer, New York, United States – 1st Shift, Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

About the role

This position supports the laboratory with testing and data review on released drug products, stability samples, and non‑routing samples as part of Regeneron’s quality program. The role also provides on‑the‑floor support to analysts and includes direct supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC staff, assign and balance workload, and monitor progress against deadlines and priorities.
• Generate and review test results to ensure compliance with standards; report any quality anomalies.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment; participate in equipment qualifications.
• Review laboratory testing for compliance with standards.
• Provide on‑the‑floor guidance and support to employees during routine testing.
• Support employees on laboratory investigations and participate in owning investigations.
• Write, revise, and review controlled standard operating procedures.
• Lead a cross‑functional project.
• Complete, review, and reconcile logbooks to ensure compliance with cGMP standards and internal procedures.
• Review and approve laboratory maintenance records to support daily operations.
• Review and approve employees’ timesheets by the end of each week.
• Deliver training to employees, ensure requirements are met, and maintain up‑to‑date training records for self and direct reports.
• Conduct monthly performance‑feedback meetings with direct reports.
• Escalate performance issues to management and/or HR.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (MS preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive, relevant QC experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Pay

Salary range (annually) $78,700 – $128,700 (Canada). Ranges are disclosed where required; final offers are based on role level, location, skills, and experience.
