About the Role

Direct and supervise production personnel to achieve optimum efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment, including auditing, addressing unsafe behaviors, reporting incidents, and enforcing safety policies.
  • Execute production priorities per the work schedule to meet customer demands.
  • Manage and direct plant floor activities to improve resource utilization, such as material and labor.
  • Respond promptly to quality and personnel issues related to parts and processes.
  • Confer with plant personnel and other departments to review activities and adjust operations as needed.
  • Maintain high visibility on the plant floor throughout the shift.
  • Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote LEAF and employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree (desired)
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • 2 years of experience in a formal leadership position
  • 2 years of experience in plastics or fabrication environment (desired)
  • 2 years of experience in a union setting, when applicable (desired)

  • Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Schedule

Nights: 3/2/2 rotation, 5PM - 5AM

Travel

5% - 10% travel required.
