Production Supervisor, Night Shift
About the Role
Provide leadership to ensure all company safety rules and regulations in accordance with regulatory agencies are observed by employees, establish site safety goals, and administer safety initiatives. Interface with regulatory agencies as required. Ensure quality of product during process and provide technical and tactical support to hourly employees. Oversee the execution of the daily production plan using SAP production modules. Ensure operations personnel perform quality work and participate in daily meetings with the production team. Arrange necessary measures to keep the plant running during breakdowns, provide feedback, and supervise hourly personnel. The Production Manager has responsibility for overall operations management to achieve goals.
Responsibilities

- Manage overall operations to achieve organizational goals
Requirements
- 2+ years of supervisor experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment (e.g., mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants)
- Previous experience as a department supervisor for larger facilities is a plus
- Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to address issues and implement solutions
- Demonstrable success in cultural "turnaround" is a plus
- Prior experience demonstrating effective management skills
- Strong teamwork, maturity, and a solid work ethic
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of operational and people management skills
- Experience in mining and/or heavy manufacturing industry preferred
- Technical credibility related to the industry, with a preference for mining
- Demonstrated ability to assess organizational and people issues, provide coaching and mentoring, and deliver solutions that improve facility performance
