Supervisor Production Control
About the role
The Supervisor, Production Control administers the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve the goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization.
Responsibilities
- Assign routine daily tasks, prioritizing work schedules for the production department, and monitor work at frequent intervals to ensure daily production schedules are met.
- Conduct process confirmations to ensure standard work processes are being followed; identify and address non-compliance, look for continuous improvement opportunities while ensuring all operational processes are carried out in accordance with quality systems and procedures.
- Participate in staff selection, performance management (including evaluation and discipline), coaching, training, scheduling, and employee development while ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
- Set weekly production targets. Maintain metrics and communicate production issues at daily and weekly production or program meetings.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices.
- Follow established practices and procedures and safety, quality, and production improvement goals.
- Support SIOP and other weekly organization reporting processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the field.
- No prior people management experience required.
