About the role
ReturnPro is seeking an experienced, energetic, and results-driven Production Supervisor to manage teammates in a logistics and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Responsibilities
- Determines quality control standards
- Selects, orders, and purchases materials
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Ensures proper training of all teammates regarding safety, quality, and other company procedures and programs
- Executes SOPs and holds team accountable, including progressive discipline when necessary
- Manages teammates’ time and attendance and updates hours appropriately
- Identifies talent, including primary and backups for critical roles
- Holds daily management meetings with the team to discuss daily goals, objectives, and company/department updates
- Promotes a safe work environment; ensures warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment
- Provides a hands-on approach, including scheduling personnel and overseeing warehouse daily activities (receiving, stocking, inventory control, order filling, private truck shipments, customer pickup orders, workflow, performance, and work standards)
- Charts progress and develops enhancements to drive efficiency
- Ensures accuracy and productivity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, management, or similar, or at least 2 years of experience in logistics warehouse, inventory field, plus demonstrated management qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to frequently and repetitively lift and carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install parts of varying size and weight overhead
- Possible weekend work and overtime required (including potential overnight shifts)
