Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Overtake and monitor day-to-day production to ensure performance and quality standards are met.
- Create daily work schedules to guarantee sufficient staffing of production lines.
- Lead a team to produce high-quality items at a speed that aligns with labor-set and yield-set standards.
- Oversee employee performance, offering guidance and support, and identifying development needs.
- Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure timely and smooth start-ups.
- Maintain and enhance production processes.
- Perform analysis to ensure compliance with customer specifications while adhering to AOP.
- Ensure completion of all checks and documentation, conducting regular quality and safety audits.
- Liaise with maintenance to keep machines operating at optimal levels.
- Manage day-to-day issues that arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Basic knowledge of food processing practices and procedures.
- Understanding of food safety principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues related to plant equipment.
- Good math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact and engage with a diverse group of team members.
- Good people management and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in using a variety of computer software.
- Good time management, multi-tasking, prioritization, and delegation abilities.
- Ability to schedule and plan work.

Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer.
- Ability to stand and move about the plant for prolonged periods.
- Ability to perform physical activities, such as lifting items of up to 100 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking.
- Visual and hearing acuity.
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Affordability of an Associate degree in Operations or Manufacturing Management or a related field is preferred.
- Two or more years of manufacturing experience in the food industry.
- Experience of using Lean methodologies is preferred.
