About the role
Guide production personnel in the fabrication, assembly, packaging, and/or inspection of medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop leaders
- Ensure compliance to quality system policies and department procedures
- Communicate expectations, assignments, and responsibilities clearly and professionally to leaders
- Gather departmental data for departmental boards
- Perform other duties and special projects as necessary
- Accurately and efficiently document employee Time and Attendance, Merit/Performance reviews, Quality, Workmanship, Disciplinary issues, and monthly efficiencies
- Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Maintain company quality and quantity standards
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year in-house experience in medical device production
- Ability to read, write, and understand product documentation and specification drawings written in English
- Ability to use small measuring devices and gauges
- Basic computer entry/retrieval skills
- Good organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Good manual dexterity and visual acuity to work with small parts
- Majority of the day is spent frequently moving around or sitting in a "controlled" environment
- Ability to occasionally lift approximately 5–50 lbs
- Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in the manufacture of the product
