Supervisor, Production
Job Summary
Supervises production employees and is responsible for the maintenance of good employee relations together with discipline, safety, and general supervision, trains employees in work conformance to part specifications and adjustment of machines. May also indirectly supervise employees in other departments depending on shift.
Performance Expectations
- Supervise operations of the facility with an aim for high performance.
- Drive the training process of all production employees on assigned shift.
- Carry out employee performance reviews or disciplinary actions according to company policy.
- Ensure team is adhering to safety policies, continuously pushing safety as a top priority.
- Maintain communication between employees and management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
- Organize, monitor, and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
- Evaluate various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Accurately track employee attendance and manage timecards.
- Monitor daily productions and quality control performance records, identifying inefficiencies and taking responsive and corrective actions where necessary.
- Assist in all aspects on the production floor.
Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 years of progressively responsible manufacturing related experience
- Must work a varying shift pattern
- Basic PR Skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably PLEX
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Ability to identify root causes and solve problems
- Ability to handle conflicts between employees
- Contribute to continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated good housekeeping practices and 5S principles
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 1-2 years in a lead hand role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze production data
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide team members
- Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management systems
Desired Characteristics
