Supervisor, Production

About the role

The Production Supervisor at LCI is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production workers. They determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow. They issue both written and oral instructions to production workers and ensure that employees have clear goals and responsibilities.

• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain attendance and production records.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of subordinates.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Work with the Plant Manager to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Direct training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
• Requisition tools and supplies required for operations.
• Maintain reasonable inventory control on raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
• Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Work overtime as required.
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance.
• Interact with co-workers cooperatively and professionally.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
