Responsibilities

  • Captures and coordinates the execution of the production schedule and equipment changeovers.
  • Oversees production processes on assigned shift, coordinating all relevant activities and supervising hourly production employees.
  • Interacts with supervisors, managers, and support groups to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, policies, and cGMPs.
  • Coordinates batch-related documentation, including data entry, verification, review, and approval as required.
  • Assumes responsibility for production personnel, production metrics, equipment condition, and facility condition.
  • Affirms the compliant application of departmental and company policies and procedures, safety programs, standards, and cGMPs.
  • Completes thorough deviation investigations, performing detailed root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Writes investigation reports and mitigation plans as required.
  • Maintains production schedules and activities to meet departmental performance objectives and budgets.
  • Updates and enhances departmental SOPs.
  • Recommends and implements value and process improvement programs.
  • Captures and coordinates staffing for assigned area of responsibility and ensures personnel training is up-to-date.
  • Develops and executes training and follow-up programs to enhance staff development.
  • Evaluates performance of operations personnel.
  • Establishes effective communication methods to provide continuity of information across all operations and shifts.
  • Empowers assigned personnel to engage in defining and recommending continuous process improvements.
  • Contributes to the development of annual departmental operating budget.
  • Provides a daily update on performance.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of equipment operation, batch record requirements, and reviews all documentation during production and batch reconciliation.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary Range: $73,614 - $103,528

Schedule

At-will employment arrangement.
