Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign work, and provide clear direction to production employees.
  • Maintain smooth operation of the production process and ensure daily production goals are met.
  • Monitor operations activities to ensure plant production and quality standards are met.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment used in production processes to ensure efficient operation and proper cleaning/sanitizing.
  • Coordinate timely repair/resolution of equipment failures.
  • Promote safe work behaviors and hold self and direct reports accountable for following safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct accident/injury investigations and report injuries promptly.
  • Facilitate plant safety meetings and training.
  • Understand and fulfill food safety and quality requirements.
  • Supervise production scheduling to produce appropriate quantities and varieties of product to meet orders, demand, and productivity goals.
  • Ensure materials are appropriately staged for future production runs.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communicate effectively with employees through shift meetings and informal methods.
  • Administer employee promotions, transfers, timekeeping, performance evaluations, and coaching/mentoring.
  • Maintain safe working conditions and comply with all company, state, and federal regulations regarding health and safety.
  • Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and adhere to all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate degree in related curriculum preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in leadership, team lead, or supervisory roles.

Education And Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing process flow and its importance.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement models.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Skills in supervision, training, and personnel management.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and foster teamwork.
  • Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Initiative and follow-through in managing multiple tasks and information.
  • Compliance with all company, state, and federal regulations regarding health and safety.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Travel

5%-15% (1-3 times per year)

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7pm-7am
Monday off
Tuesday off
Wednesday 1am-7am & Wednesday 7pm-7am
