About the role

The Production Supervisor oversees production line workers, ensuring routine communication of job assignments, training for specific product runs, and proper placement of staff to meet daily production needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor day-to-day production to ensure performance and quality standards are achieved.
• Create daily work schedules to ensure production lines are sufficiently staffed.
• Lead a team to produce high-quality items at a pace that meets labor and yield standards.
• Oversee employee performance, providing guidance, support, and identifying development needs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and on-time production start-ups.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate materials required for the daily schedule.
• Maintain and improve production processes.
• Perform analysis to ensure compliance with customer specifications while maintaining the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Ensure all checks and documentation are completed, performing regular quality and safety audits.
• Liaise with maintenance to ensure machines operate at optimal levels.
• Manage day-to-day issues that arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Goal-oriented, confident, and able to work well under pressure in a competitive environment.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook and Excel.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with availability to work Saturdays as needed.

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
• Extended hours based on production needs, including after regular business hours and weekends.
• Availability to work Saturdays as needed.
