Supervisor, Prevention
About the role
Vivent Health is seeking a Supervisor, Prevention to oversee recruitment, training, supervision, coaching, and evaluation of staff/volunteers implementing HIV prevention programs. The role supports priority populations such as gay/bisexual/same-gender loving cisgender men, people of trans experience, and people who inject drugs (PWID).
Responsibilities
- Lead staff/volunteers in recruiting, training, supervising, coaching, and evaluating.
- Consult with the department director and human resources on personnel issues.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to streamline service delivery.
- Develop and maintain communication with staff regarding management decisions.
- Implement state-of-the-art HIV prevention programs targeting priority populations.
- Research and utilize the latest effective interventions for priority populations.
- Network with community stakeholders and utilize electronic prevention records for reporting.
- Develop and monitor the annual programmatic budget and work plans.
- Aid in Vivent Health’s revenue generating strategies, including grant applications and timely reporting.
- Perform special projects and assist with other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, community health, social work, or related field.
- Five years of related experience.
- One to two years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the HIV/AIDS patient population.
- Experience in leadership roles and supervision of staff.
Qualifications
- HIV Prevention Certified Provider preferred.
- Community Health Education Specialist (CHES) certification or CPH certification plus.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record for positions requiring a company vehicle.
Skills
- Leadership skills, including vision, direction, motivation, decision making, communication, empathy, emotional intelligence, accountability, and adaptability.
- Effective organization and fiscal management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead organizational change and guide teams through periods of transformation.
- Working knowledge of word processing systems, spreadsheets, and Windows Operating System.

Pay
$50,000/annually - $58,000/annually (Depending on Experience)
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
