What You Will Do
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and oversight for all planning functions.
- Ensures a unified workflow and consistent output quality for both Planning and Booth Planning.
- Focuses on team development, operational execution, and ensuring timely, accurate work package preparation and project flow to support aircraft maintenance events.
- Verifies data integrity and system accuracy, including billing elements, task details, and material requirements.
- Oversees and supports the daily activities of planners and booth planners, ensuring clear priorities and balanced workloads.
- Collaborates with Maintenance leadership to track package buildup, check progress, and resolve discrepancies.
- Aids in developing accurate short-term planning inputs based on known maintenance events.
- Provides coaching, feedback, and skill development for planners and booth planners, focusing on technical proficiency and project flow capabilities.
- Utilizes Power BI, Copilot, Microsoft Office, MS Project, and related planning systems.
- Applies general data-tool proficiency to review information, support decision-making, and maintain planning accuracy.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk throughout maintenance areas and climb stairs to aircraft or work platforms.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed to handle work package materials or planning documentation.
Required What You Need
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize work in a multi-project environment.
- Working knowledge of maintenance processes.
- Three (3) years of lead or supervisor experience in heavy maintenance MRO environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email systems, and general digital tools.
- Working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations relevant to FAR Part 145 operations.
PREFERRED
- A&P License.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation technology, business, or related technical field.
- Previous planning, production control, or wings experience.
