Primary location: 13640 N Plaza Del Rio Blvd, Peoria, AZ 85381. Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.

About the role

This position ensures the efficient and effective operation of the assigned department, including day-to-day administration of non-physician staff and operations. The role uses specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide excellent patient care and maintain smooth clinic workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of non-physician staff, ensuring high productivity.
  • Monitors clinic operations and recommends procedural changes as needed.
  • Selects, trains, coaches, motivates, conducts performance evaluations, and directs staff workflow.
  • Schedules non-physician staff to ensure appropriate deployment across offices.
  • Oversees all functions of the medical group, including reception, scheduling, patient service areas, accounting, medical records, transcription, business information systems, and clinical areas.
  • Acts as a liaison between non-physician staff and physicians to ensure effective patient service.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with group physicians.
  • Serves as a role model and resource for quality patient care and information.
  • Maintains office policies and procedures in accordance with physician requirements, facility and system policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Determines physical maintenance and equipment needs, coordinates repairs, and resolves facility-related issues.
  • Ensures all areas are appropriately stocked and supplies are readily accessible.
  • Covers front and/or back office functions as needed.
  • May administer medications in accordance with established policies and procedures, consistent with demonstrated competencies and state scope of practice.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of daily practice workflow and functions autonomously to guide operations and ensure quality patient experiences.
  • Requires working knowledge of referral and authorization processes and the ability to navigate multiple computer programs while handling competing demands.

Requirements

  • Literacy, communication, and math skills equivalent to an associate’s degree.
  • Certain assignments may require current certification as a Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or current LPN license.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a physician’s office or medical environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Employees working in behavioral health clinical settings serving children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at hire and maintain it throughout employment; an Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in a leadership or coordinator capacity.
