Supervisor - Pharmacy - CMC Pharmacy - Full Time - 8 Hour - Variable Shift

About the role

The Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor oversees pharmacy services within an assigned shift, unit, or functional area, ensuring safe, accurate, timely, and cost-effective medication management.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with state and federal pharmacy law, USP / standards, and hospital policy.
• Captures and coordinates daily workflow.
• Serves as a key liaison between staff and pharmacy department leadership.
• Supervises pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Supports quality and medication-safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Doctoral Degree in School of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• 5 years experience in an Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy.
• Experience working with Epic EHR.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, precepting, or committee participation may be considered in lieu of formal supervisory title.
• ASHP PGY1 residency.

Qualifications

• RPH Registered Pharmacist - California Board of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacist BPS Board certification.

Skills

• Working knowledge of California and federal pharmacy law, DEA regulations, and USP compounding standards.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage competing priorities and respond to urgent situations.
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, automated dispensing technology, and standard office software.

Benefits

Exempt position, 40 hours per week.

Pay

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
