Position: Patient Access Supervisor
Location: Swedish, Chicago
Full time Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

What You Will Do
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data.
- Foster a culture of patient-centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state specific guidelines.
- Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management.
- Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Managers

What You Will Need
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: 3 Years Experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records (EHR) software.

Pay
$24.86 - $37.29 per hour, determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
