About the Role
Join us as an Ambassador at SeaWorld and play an important part on our incredible team. You will lead and inspire a team of ambassadors in delivering an exemplary level of guest service while modeling a positive attitude, high energy, and an unyielding commitment to quality.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals.
- Develop OJT’s and ambassadors by providing training, feedback, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures.
- Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve.
- Maintain inventory and stock/replace area supplies and equipment as needed.
- Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards.
- Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations.
- Respond to ambassador and guest needs.
- Communicate effectively with other areas within the department as well as other departments in the park.
- Track information to complete daily and weekly reports.
- Report to leadership regarding the status of projects and completed assignments.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least 4 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during peak season.
- At least 3 days of unrestricted availability including weekends and holidays during the off season.
- Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification.
- Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions.
- Able to climb stairs/ladders.
- Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces.
- Able to use heavy equipment for cleaning.
- Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
- Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Able to train on and properly use protective gear.
- Comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor.
- Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, reach with hands and arms at shoulder level or below, climb, and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level.
- Stand, walk, and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to positively interact with guests, co-workers, and vendors of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members.
- Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Skilled in organization and planning.
- Able to lift or move 75 lbs.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license preferred.
- 1 year in mechanical ride operation preferred.
