About the role

This position prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications. It involves reviewing production orders or schedules, planning production operations, resolving operational and manufacturing issues, developing or revising standard operational practices, coordinating with supporting departments, monitoring employee activities, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Collaborates with supporting department managers to ensure that support meets the needs of production requirements.
  • Collaborates with other departments to provide support as needed.
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable procedures and company policies by monitoring activities of assigned employees.
  • Investigates industrial incidents to determine root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
  • 6+ years of experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is a plus but not required, years of experience will count towards education.
  • Aerospace manufacturing supervisory experience in a Union environment.
  • Business metrics experience to drive performance (cost, schedule, &/or quality).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for use at all levels of organization.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with aircraft assembly, composite part manufacturing, and bonding is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift, climb, grasp, hold, stand, bend, and stoop.

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.

Skills
