Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of Plan Building Coordinators and Specialists:
- Own the full employee lifecycle for your team — hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, recognition, and retention — in close partnership with your manager.
- Own quality assurance across completed plan builds:
- Conduct QA reviews to ensure benefit configurations are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client intent before they go live.
- Manage daily claim configuration queues:
- Monitor and prioritize workflow across the team to keep configurations moving on time and within service standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on plan-building processes:
- Troubleshoot complex configuration issues, answer escalated questions, and provide guidance that keeps the team unblocked and moving forward.
- Drive process improvement initiatives:
- Lead or support efforts to improve plan building quality, efficiency, and consistency — identifying gaps, standardizing procedures, and implementing solutions.
- Build and maintain policies and procedures:
- Support the development and documentation of Plan Building standards that keep the team aligned and audit-ready.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary degree preferred
- 5+ years of plan building experience required
- Experience with employee benefits administration, including self-funded health plans, preferred
- Prior people management or supervisory experience preferred
- Experience with QicLink, HEALTHpac, and/or GIAS preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding and claims processing logic
- Working knowledge of ACA, Mental Health Parity, and applicable federal regulations governing plan design
- Ability to read, interpret, and draft benefit plan documents, correspondence, and configuration instructions
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining process documentation and standard operating procedures
- Analytical capability to diagnose and resolve plan configuration issues involving multiple variables
