Entegris is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations for our Advanced Purity Solutions Division at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility. This role focuses on efficient resource utilization to meet production goals in safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery through effective supervision and teamwork.
About the role
The Supervisor supports employee training, guidance, and motivation while addressing minor conflicts using company values. The work schedule for this position is Wednesday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Champion safety programs, processes, and tools to ensure a safer workplace.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers operating machines to manufacture parts and products.
- Interview, onboard, coach, train, and develop employees; conduct timely performance reviews.
- Communicate policies, procedures, and systems proactively to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Hold daily pass-down meetings to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Maintain accurate time and production records.
- Promote PACE values and company policies.
- Analyze and resolve work-related issues; assist employees in problem-solving.
- Develop and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Collaborate with Production Team Leads and Managers to achieve common goals.
- Conduct audits to ensure quality production and adherence to standards.
- Monitor documentation accuracy and electronic transactions for work orders and inventory.
- Delegate work assignments using Gantt charts and daily production meetings.
- Work closely with Schedulers to meet on-time shipping goals and minimize schedule disruptions.
- Establish or adjust work schedules to meet production expectations.
- Conduct Gemba walks and Kaizen activities to improve production systems and reduce waste.
- Implement quality improvements using 8D problem-solving methods for customer corrective actions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Continuous improvement experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Pay
$88,000 – $95,000 range, dependent on candidate skills and experience.
Schedule
Wednesday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
