Supervisor - Manufacturing Materials
About the role
The Supervisor – Manufacturing Materials oversees material flow from receiving through final shipment, supporting both Engineer-to-Order (ETO) projects and repetitive manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Project Management, Planning, and Distribution teams to ensure inventory accuracy, efficient material movement, and strong operational performance across all facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead Manufacturing Material Handlers across multiple facilities and support day-to-day operations.
- Oversee receiving, put-away, staging, picking, kitting, transfer orders, and shipment preparation.
- Ensure accurate real-time ERP transactions and maintain alignment between physical inventory and Epicor.
- Develop and maintain standardized material flow and inventory control processes.
- Cook up material movement to support production schedules, project timelines, and manufacturing priorities.
- Monitor KPIs, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock performance, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, and Project Management to resolve material issues and improve workflow.
- Support hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of manufacturing materials teams.
- Manage warehouse equipment, facility organization, and operational safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, accuracy, and labor efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- College degree or coursework, preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience, required. (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics operations.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory control processes, required.
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and material flow, strongly preferred.
- Forklift and warehouse equipment experience, preferred.
Qualifications
- Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent, required. College degree or coursework, preferred. Microsoft Office experience, required. (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
