About the role

The Supervisor, Manufacturing at Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) oversees and coordinates employees and processes to meet internal and external customer needs. This role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the quality of employees' work and provide necessary assistance to maintain product quality and safety.
  • Manage production shifts and employees, coordinating with other departments to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Affirm compliance with OPW policies and provide training to employees.
  • Implement visual management tools and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support inventory management by updating the system and addressing discrepancies.
  • Improve 5S practices in the factory.
  • Assist with other activities as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years of experience as a line leader or supervisor in manufacturing and/or quality.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and support systems relevant to the role.
  • Experience managing various skill sets, including assemblers, machinists, maintenance personnel, material handlers, and team/group leaders.
  • A proven track record in key functional areas such as on-time production, order completion, machine/equipment maintenance, material flow, supply chain, and production efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma is preferred.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
