About the role
Pursuit Aerospace is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components. This position involves supervising employees and managing all aspects of the manufacturing processes used in the production of turbine engine components.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the training of all employees on their shift.
- Maintains production priorities and ensures quality requirements are met.
- Maintains and operates all necessary equipment.
- Maintains availability of necessary supplies for employees.
- Manages personnel activities during shifts.
- Maintains productivity records and reports them in a timely manner.
- Maintains employee attendance at a satisfactory level.
- Handles employee discipline and attendance issues.
- Maintains a professional, productive, and disciplined work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
- Proficient in geometric tolerancing.
- Has the necessary computer skills and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing.
- Ability to work well with people and possess problem-solving, situation assessment, and conflict resolution skills.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees in the organization.
Physical Demands
- Regularly uses hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
- Frequently stands, walks, reaches with hands and arms, stoops, or crouches.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to fifty (50) pounds.
Work Environment
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants, and cleaning solutions.
- Exposure to moderate cold and extreme heat.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually middling.
Schedule
Saturday, Sunday, Monday and every other Tuesday from 6pm-6am.
