Supervisor, Manufacturing
JOB SUMMARY
As a Supervisor, Manufacturing at Marki Microwave, you will own the day-to-day execution of production operations for your line in a fast-paced, low-volume, high-mix RF and microwave electronics manufacturing environment. You will directly supervise a skilled team of operators, driving output, quality, on-time delivery, and safety while building a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will serve as the operational backbone of your production line, assigning work, removing obstacles, developing your people, and partnering cross-functionally to keep production moving. This role requires a hands-on leader with direct experience in RF electronics or component manufacturing and a genuine commitment to team development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervise and coordinate daily production activities—assigning tasks, verifying work quality, and preparing schedules—to maximize output, efficiency, and on-time delivery across your assigned line.
- Own manufacturing non-conformances (NCRs) within your line, driving investigation and corrective action to closure, and maintain a safe work environment through consistent safety enforcement and hazard resolution.
- Maintain and report on production metrics (safety, quality, productivity, OTD), taking action on gaps and driving process improvement through Lean/Kaizen participation and 5S standards.
- Develop and continuously improve training materials, competency checklists, and records; coach, mentor, and formally evaluate team members, addressing performance and discipline issues in partnership with HR.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to resolve production issues, support new product introduction, and manage labor resources including overtime and time-off approvals.
REQUIREMENTS
- A High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years in electronics/mechanical manufacturing, including 3+ years of direct supervisory experience; low-volume, high-mix production experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with surface mount assembly, connectorized module assembly, or wire-bondable die handling is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with RF/microwave or high-reliability electronics manufacturing, AS9100/ISO 9001, and ITAR-controlled environments is a plus.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Systems Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with an ERP or MES system required (Sage 100 or Siemens MES a plus).
- Technical Literacy: Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly work instructions, test procedures, and process documentation.
- Lean & Quality Methods: Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, standard work, visual management); familiar with root cause analysis and CAPA; Six Sigma exposure a plus.
- Production Analysis: Applies production math including yield calculations, capacity utilization, and efficiency metrics, with strong understanding of ESD controls.
- Communication & Composure: Strong written and oral communication skills; highly organized with effective conflict resolution and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
CORE COMPETENCIES

- Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively across verbal, written, and visual channels, with strong active listening skills.
- Teamwork & Interpersonal Skills: Builds strong working relationships, collaborates toward common goals, and exercises empathy and emotional intelligence.
