Supervisor Local Network Implementation- Tucson AZ

Main Responsibilities

Supervise, lead, and support a team working in a technical environment
Oversee construction and splicing activities to ensure safe, efficient operations and timely, high quality service delivery
Prepare and review project plans and specifications that support regional and organizational objectives
Ensure Technicians follow all safety standards, including proper use of tools, equipment, and required gas testing before entering utility holes or vaults; oversee maintenance and safe operation of heavy duty and electronic equipment
Provide technical guidance on designs, new technologies, and service implementations within established standards
Manage and maintain employee cost analyses to support accurate engineering estimates and assess financial impacts
Ensure engineering and construction plans align with business strategies and support scalable, future ready network growth
Lead technician teams by setting clear objectives, managing performance, and emphasizing training, coaching, safety, quality, and expense control
Represent Forged Fiber professionally with customers and governmental agencies
Recognize team achievements and promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising teams or leadership experience
• Working knowledge of the splicing and construction process for the telecommunication industry
• Strong skills and experience in employee development to include training, coaching and mentoring
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Computer skills required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Must have the ability to work in a consultative manner with others, i.e. establish rapport, interview, fact-find, present options, recommend solutions, follow-up and customer focused behavior
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in a related field
• Able to travel as much as 35%-45% of the time, as required by business needs
• A valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing teams within a telecom technical environment
• Requires varying hours to accommodate supervision of employees, including possible mandatory overtime and holidays
• Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform under pressure
• Must negotiate timeframes for completion and meet critical deadlines
• Willing and able to work with other coworkers to complete job assignments

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$65,000-$130,000
