Supervisor Laboratory Support

About the role

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join comprehensive laboratory operations under the direction of the Laboratory Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations.
• Establish and monitor key metrics for accurate and timely work of staff.
• Make operational decisions to facilitate optimal workflow and patient care services.
• Serve as subject matter expert for clinical laboratory analysis and instrument operation.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff.
• Manage scheduling and timekeeping for staff.
• Evaluate staff performance.
• Maintain strong technical skills for the area of oversight.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (required).
• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred.
• At least 2 years experience as a Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP).

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 06:00‑14:30 (flexible; may vary based on staffing needs). Night or weekend shifts may be required to maintain minimum staffing levels.
