The Laboratory Support Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the laboratory operations and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of test results.
Responsibilities
- Hires and assists with onboarding top talent to foster a diverse, professional, and development-oriented workplace.
- Evaluates the competency of all testing personnel and ensures they maintain their competency to perform tests and report results promptly, accurately, and proficiently.
- Ensures patient test results are not released until all necessary corrective actions have been taken and the test system is functioning correctly.
- Participates in committees, task forces, and improvement teams to drive operational excellence and innovation.
- Validates all changes within the laboratory before implementation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or a related science field (required).
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred but not required).
- 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (required).
- 3 years of phlebotomy experience (required).
- Previous experience in a leadership position in a customer service environment (preferred but not required).
- Experience with EKG (preferred but not required).
