Overview

McGraw Hill, a leading provider of digital and print educational resources, seeks a Supervisor, Instructional Designer, ELA/SLA for its K-12 division literacy programs. This is a remote position open to U.S. residents and a Project Status Worker (PSW) role ending on 04/30/2027.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and mentor a team of Instructional Designers and external vendors, providing feedback, guidance, and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships to drive alignment, success, and seamless project execution.
  • Promote creativity and experimentation, encouraging diverse ideas that enhance educational content quality and impact.
  • Oversee the entire digital program development lifecycle, collaborating with content, product, UX, and creative teams.
  • Manage talent management initiatives, developing training and growth plans for the team.
  • Optimize resource allocation across internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and delivery goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics, using external networks and perspectives to inform strategic decisions.
  • Articulate customer and learner needs, translating insights into impactful solutions that serve educators and students effectively.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional or consulting experience, with a preference for backgrounds in instructional design, educational technology, or teaching and education.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, with an advanced degree in education, math, science, or educational technology strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel based on territory and account needs.
  • A genuine passion for continuous learning and an innate drive to support and empower others.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including familiarity with major operating systems, browsers, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and core internet concepts.
  • Proven ability to apply instructional design principles and educational technology tools to develop impactful learning experiences.
  • A collaborative, growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving learner and client needs.

Benefits
