About the role

The Plant Supervisor II will supervise the safe and efficient handling and processing of regulated medical waste. This position ensures the plant consistently meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner.

Responsibilities

  • Selects, trains, and develops a safe, effective and efficient staff
  • Ensures the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner
  • Maintains overall cost control of the plant
  • Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation
  • Interfaces proactively with personnel to achieve business goals
  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally
  • Initiates actions to assure timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices
  • Trains all new plant and provides monthly training of current plant personnel
  • Performs periodic facility audits, reviews of all applicable regulatory paperwork (e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc.)
  • Provides for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
  • 3 years of related experience
  • 1 year experience managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require strict compliance with all safety rules and protocols. The successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing—in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Pay

Pay Range: $61,000 + DOE
