Supervisor II, Field Outage Services
About the role
The Supervisor II, Field Outage Services leads field teams during turbine maintenance outages, directing Supervisor I team members, technicians, and subcontract personnel in the opening, inspection, and closing of gas and steam turbine generators. This role provides leadership for larger and more complex outage projects, ensuring safe execution, high-quality workmanship, and strong customer satisfaction. Extensive travel (up to 90%) is required.
Responsibilities

- Lead teams during turbine outage maintenance activities across multiple projects
- Supervise and mentor Supervisor I employees, technicians, and subcontract personnel
- Support outage planning, including resources, subcontractors, and inventory setup
- Promote a strong safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer service standards are met
- Support development of field procedures, processes, and tooling improvements
- Assist with data evaluation and project execution alongside Project Managers and Technical Advisors
- Manage workforce coordination, including time tracking and field support
- Travel extensively (domestic and international) to support outage execution
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred
- 10+ years of experience with gas and/or steam turbine generator components
- Strong leadership experience in turbine outage environments
- Proven ability to lead larger, complex field outage projects
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Basic computer skills (email, Excel, reporting tools)
- Valid driver’s license and passport required
- Ability to travel up to 90% and work extended hours during outages
Physical & Safety Requirements
This role requires regular standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
