Supervisor, GMP Lab - Biopharmaceuticals
About the role
This is a fully onsite Lab Supervisor position based at the GMP Laboratory in Middleton, Wisconsin (Department: Biopharmaceutical). The role welcomes applicants from any location within the US, though relocation assistance is not provided and any relocation costs are the candidate’s responsibility. As a Lab Supervisor you will coordinate staffing and resources, support day‑to‑day workflows, and assist in preparing and implementing company policies, quality systems and training programs to ensure timely project completion, client satisfaction, and staff development aligned with department goals.
Responsibilities

- Assist in preparation and implementation of company policies, quality systems and training programs
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner so that company revenues are met and clients are satisfied with quality and turnaround
- Ensure staff continue to be developed to keep pace with department goals and growth
- Supervise daily activities of staff within the Biopharmaceutical department, including interviewing, selection, hiring, professional development, performance management, and reviewing/approving time records, leave requests, and overtime
- Manage daily workflow, allocate resources, and track performance metrics
- Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiency gains to optimize processes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards; investigate and resolve complex problems through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Respond to facility audit findings
- Assist management in their responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and implementation of PPD/client SOPs and company operational policies
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards and company policies
