Supervisor Fulfillment Center, 2nd Shift

About the role

The Warehouse Fulfillment Center Supervisor plays a crucial role in the Staples Supply Chain team, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and manage hourly associates to achieve performance goals, productivity, accuracy, and quality control standards.
• Lead the team in daily, weekly, and monthly planning of departments.
• Make recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures.
• Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of associates.
• Evaluate department performance using operational reports and ensure expectations are met.
• Collaborate with the Fulfillment Center Team Manager and other management to operate within guidelines and achieve success.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and foster a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately calculate and plan headcount to meet department objectives.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding and proficiency with Fulfillment/Distribution technology.
• Ability to adopt and follow safety procedures.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
• Ability to open and close the building and be a key holder if necessary.
