Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Directs dishwashing/cleaning operations and performs and/or delegates tasks such as tray stripping: loading, unloading, and operating dishwasher; pot and pan washing; cleaning of kitchen equipment, carts and other equipment used in food production and service as well as in cleaning operations.
  • Directs and monitors workflow to and from dishwasher to maintain an even flow of used dishes, trays, silverware, etc., through the various cleaning operations and checks for bottlenecks and overloads.
  • Directs and monitors workflow of all unit dining areas and operations and/or delegates tasks such as tray assembly, serving, loading and distributions.
  • Schedules all dietary aides and cafeteria servers.
  • Maintains department records, reports and files as required.
  • Assigns personnel to various workstations according to schedules.
  • Orients, trains and evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Participates in in-service programs.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School or GED
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience as a Food Service Worker
  • Licensure: N/A
