Supervisor, Fleet Operations
About the role
The Fleet Supervisor leads daily roadside assistance and towing operations, partnering with the Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused service delivery. This role is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and developing technicians while maintaining workforce readiness, fleet quality, and regulatory compliance. The supervisor oversees scheduling, safety initiatives, performance management, and customer issue resolution to support operational and financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Tows vehicles, when needed
- Provides training, support and assistance to Service Vehicle Operators and Automotive Service Coordinators
- Resolves escalated service problems
- Maintains productivity standards for the team
- Covers for colleagues when needed
- Coordinates vehicle maintenance, order supplies, inventory and distribute necessary tools, parts and supplies
- Maintains facility in a safe, clean and orderly fashion
- Performs administrative duties such as complaint resolution, deposit compilation and reconciliation and researching, compiling and communicating various reports and information
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid state driver’s license with an excellent driving record and ability to drive day/night and for extended periods
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT physical certification
- Leadership experience with a proven ability to achieve results through others
- Roadside assistance, towing, vehicle recovery, and/or minor automotive maintenance experience
- Experience working with stranded motorists, vendors, contractors, and customer service/damage resolution
- Strong safety awareness, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills, including training and presentations
- Ability to prepare cost, expense, and budget reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), technical/diagnostic tools, and emergency roadside service equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly to changing conditions
- Knowledge of towing procedures, budget preparation, and roadside assistance operations
Qualifications
- College level coursework in Business Administration or a related field preferred
- Previous Service Technician experience preferred
- Solid mechanical background and understanding of automotive repair
- Familiarity with area streets and landmarks

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment

ACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.). Compensation Hourly rates starting rate is $25.50 per hour (rate may vary by location and experience) Overtime opportunities paid at time-and-a-half. Fully paid training to help you build the skills needed for success.

Average hourly rate: $25.50
Schedule / Shift
7-day, multiple shift operation which may require “on call” duty at times.
