Supervisor Financial Counseling
Supervision
The Financial Counseling Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational work and supervision of the Patient Financial Advocates and Patient Billing Resolution Specialist teams. This individual must have the ability to travel to care sites and clinics within, and across state lines.
Essential Functions
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of the financial counseling department.
- Supervision of personnel, participating in employee and patient relations and quality management.
- Acts as an extension for identified HR support functions.
- Leads team huddles and monthly check-ins.
- Completes annual performance reviews.
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met for quality, compliance and schedule adherence.
- Collaborates with other supervisors and managers within and other departments.
- Identifies and resolves areas of opportunities using defined processes, expertise and judgment.
- Promotes support through an environment of teamwork and patient centered care.
- Promotes, supports, and tracks established KPIs, for department and organization.
- Commitment to process improvement and streamlining workflows in response to healthcare and regulatory updates.
- Able to travel to care sites and clinics within and across state lines, with overnight stays.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years previous experience in a Lead or Supervisory role
- Previous experience in healthcare, financial counseling or equivalent
- Certified Application Counselor (CAC) Certification within 60 Days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Two (2) or more years' supervisory experience with Financial Counseling or equivalent
- Knowledge of Epic
- Bilingual – Spanish speaking

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $26.10 - $40.00
