Supervisor, Finance & Accounting

About the role

INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency based in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Supervisor to join their Finance team. This position is hybrid, working 3 days per week in-office.

Responsibilities

• Manage month end closing P&L reporting
• Process monthly billing transactions and reconcile against budgets & PO’s
• Forecasting and budgeting support
• WIP Monitoring and ledger reconciliation
• Review and process expense reports on a weekly basis
• Collaborate with internal teams regularly regarding any invoice discrepancies
• Work closely with Business Affairs and Accounts for timely billing and accrual reconciliation
• Prepare internal and client accruals on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
• Follow up with clients on a regular basis to maintain healthy aged AR/AP balance
• Prepare monthly reports for internal departments and clients
• Supervise staff on team, assisting with daily tasks and reviewing deliverables
• Evaluate internal processes and provide insight for process efficiency as needed

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance
• Working in a similar role
• Accounting Experience
• Knowledge of Advertising or production industry preferred
• Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Power Query)
• AI tools experience
• Forward thinking
• Bachelor's Degree required, Finance or Accounting Degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of billing and accounting concepts
• Strong analytical skills, detail oriented
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Ability to work overtime, especially at month-end
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Pay

The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $103,000, with pay dependent on several factors including years of experience, training, and transferable skills.
