Supervisor Facilities

About the role

The Facility Operations Supervisor at L3Harris Camden leads a team responsible for ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the company's multi-building manufacturing, lab, and office complex. This role oversees all facilities, including production areas, test operations, warehouses, grounds, interior spaces, and manufacturing/support equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and review the work of direct reports who exercise independence and judgment in their assignments.
• Communicate with internal teams, contractors, and service vendors to explain and influence changes to policies, practices, and operational approaches.
• Drive significant improvements in processes, systems, and facility operations.
• Establish short-term operational plans that deliver measurable results for the function or business area.
• Frequently walk manufacturing floors to assess equipment, facility conditions, and safety compliance.
• Perform regular bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting as required to support facility operations.
• Exercise hiring, firing, promotion, and compensation authority within the organization, subject to management review and approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Preferred additional skills include experience supporting high-volume manufacturing facilities, equipment controls, and related automation; leadership experience in facility operations, building maintenance, or facility services supervision; experience leading teams across multiple buildings in an industrial or manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of general facility maintenance practices, preventative maintenance, building systems, and industrial safety standards.
