About the role
The Supervisor, Engineering oversees the equipment maintenance and repair functions within the operations department. This includes daily equipment repair and restoration to specification, preventative maintenance, and the inspection of custom manufactured equipment and associated calibration documentation/records.
Responsibilities
- Manage People and Teams: Leads day-to-day operations of the assigned team, including technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.
- Inspection and Design: Oversees the inspection and review of existing and purchased custom design parts. Key contributor in the activities related to creation and revision of inspection procedures, protocol, checklists, specifications, and workflow.
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair Leadership: Leads and contributes to the development, revision, and standardization of inspection procedures, protocols, checklists, specifications, workflows, and related inspection/engineering processes.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensures compliance with LifeNet QS/RA standards in allograft design and development duties.
- Monitoring Performance: Develops, monitors, and reports key inspection-related performance indicators and objectives, and assists in establishing department goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Manages assigned projects through all phases from concept through implementation, while providing design engineering support to project teams, continuous improvement efforts, equipment/product performance reviews, and concept/design activities as assigned.
- Design Engineering Support: Provides design engineering support to project teams and continuous improvement efforts to include equipment and/or product performance review and assist in concept and design as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, technical trade program, or related or completed vocational training
- Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience
- Two (2) years of corrective & preventive equipment maintenance and inspection
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications
- Experience in Tissue Banking, OPO, Medical Device, or a related field
- Experience in CAD/AM, 2D & 3D design, quality and mechanical inspection, prototype design and PLC
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Certification
Key Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; MS Project, Workfront or other PM software proficiency.
- Communication & Presentation: Ability to communicate conclusions and recommended path; able to present complex information to peers and nontechnical leadership; able to describe and convince decision makers and senior leadership on recommended path.
- Teamwork & Problem Resolution: Ability to work as part of a team in solving problems and executing improvement initiatives.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet business needs.
Benefits
- Compensation: Salary Range: $75,841 - $101,121 annually
- Final compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience.
