About the role
New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking a Supervisor for Energy Efficiency Residential Programs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead work performed on energy efficiency programs by program staff, contractors, engineers, and office support staff.
- Develop, revise, supervise, and/or execute program processes and procedures and serve as a resource for internal and external stakeholders related to energy efficiency programs.
- Interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, project personnel and provide verification and documentation that program rules and procedures are followed.
- Lead team to analyze information, make strategic decisions/recommendations, and guide decision-making by identifying the anticipated benefits, consequences, and impacts of alternatives.
- Career Development: Participate in the development of new ideas for residential energy efficiency and demand response programs and serve as a key member of the team developing and supporting the filing.
- Address escalated residential customer inquiries, including exploring resolutions with contractors where necessary and recommend necessary action needed to align with the contractor remediation policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting or managing energy efficiency programs required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or people leadership experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays, with the ability to travel periodically for industry conferences.
