Supervisor, Electrical Maintenance - Rolling, Finishing & Shipping

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and coordination for the Rolling, Finishing, and Shipping Electrical Maintenance department. This position is responsible for supporting safe, efficient, and reliable operations; supervising employees; coordinating maintenance activities; and driving continuous improvement, reliability, and system performance initiatives. The Supervisor, Electrical Maintenance - Rolling & Finishing serves as the technical resource for electrical and automation systems and provides technical support and guidance to maintenance and operations personnel within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company safety practices and procedures are followed by employees within the assigned area and that the department meets or exceeds safety objectives, including required safety meetings, inspections, JSA/SOP completion, housekeeping activities, and corrective actions.
• Supervise employees and lead by example in supporting company goals and values and enforcing policies, procedures, and work standards.
• Participate in employee selection, onboarding, training, performance management, employee development, corrective action, and retention initiatives while ensuring employees receive the tools, resources, and support necessary to perform their work safely and effectively.
• Assign, prioritize, coordinate, and monitor daily work activities to support safe and efficient departmental operations.
• Plan and coordinate staffing, schedules, resources, equipment, and materials to meet operational and departmental needs.
