Supervisor, Construction & Maintenance

About the role
Lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining and enhancing critical substation infrastructure that powers our communities. In this role, you'll oversee planning, resource deployment, safety compliance, and maintenance activities while ensuring reliable operations, effective project execution, and exceptional team performance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise crews engaged in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment and structures, buildings, and other associated equipment in company substations.
- Ensure effective planning, organization, budgeting, and deployment of resources, assuring adherence to specifications and safety rules.
- Actively participate in the development of department guidelines and procedures for regulatory compliance, safety, security, reliability, and responding to customer needs.
- Meet project deadlines, preventive maintenance schedules, provide productive use of personnel, and avoid equipment damage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field PLUS eight years or more job-related experience.
- OR Associate or technical college degree in electrical or mechanical maintenance or equivalent PLUS ten years or more job-related experience.
- Experience in substation or transmission systems, electric utility construction, maintenance, planning, operations, and/or supervisory experience.
- A valid driver’s license and the responsibility to maintain it.
- Availability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours for storms, system emergencies, and/or to complete critical assignments.
- Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment of the electrical/mechanical trade.
- Ability to use maintenance management programs to assist with planning and scheduling activities.
Skills
- Strong lead or supervisory experience in project management.
- Computer skills applicable to (but not limited to) Maximo, Oracle, Asset Management, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret scope documents, prints, specifications, drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, instructional information, and contract documents.

Pay
The expected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, and experience.
