Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Compression Engineers providing technical support for compressor station operations.
- Establish engineering priorities and allocate resources to support operational and strategic business objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Coach engineers through complex technical challenges while promoting professional development.
- Provide engineering oversight for centrifugal and reciprocating compressor systems and associated rotating equipment.
- Support performance analysis, diagnostics, and optimization of compressor station equipment.
- Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts involving vibration, pulsation, and equipment performance issues.
- Develop engineering solutions that improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle performance.
- Drive initiatives that improve equipment availability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance strategies through engineering analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to optimize asset performance.
- Lead engineering projects from planning through execution, ensuring technical quality and timely delivery.
- Support capital improvement initiatives involving rotating equipment and compressor systems.
- Drive process improvements that enhance engineering effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Manage engineering priorities, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Project Engineering, and external equipment vendors to resolve technical challenges.
- Support implementation of engineering standards, best practices, and quality initiatives.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across engineering and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience supporting industrial rotating equipment or compressor systems.
- Preferred: Previous leadership or supervisory experience with engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of compressor performance analysis and engineering principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead organizational change.
- Experience with budgeting, planning, and resource management.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as business needs require.
