Supervisor Coding
Description
Summary: Supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function in Coding. Responsibilities include determining, coordinating, and supervising daily staffing assignments; providing direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff; performing or assisting with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions; supporting management initiatives; assessing quality of services delivered and facilitating staff development programs; ensuring staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocols; performing staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels; leading the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints; serving as an internal liaison with other departments that have coding concerns/questions.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED, Coding-related certification from AHIMA or AAPC, 2 years of relevant experience. Preferred: 2 years of supervisory experience.
Qualifications
Additional Position Level Credential Information: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC, CPC-H within 1 year. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Pay
$29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. This position is 100% remote. Eligible out-of-state candidates may be considered.
Schedule
Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Days.
